For me, psychological counseling is a special profession. Embarking on this path means that we are willing to become containers of the soul, investing our personal time, experience and emotions to support others, bring light and hope in this suffering world.
Psychological counseling is also very sacred. Viktor Frankl once said: “Everything can be taken from a person except the pursuit of meaning.” As psychological counselors, we must help individuals ignite inner hope and regain the meaning of life. The work of a counselor is often lonely, requiring one to delve into cases alone. I hope to use each class and each interaction to not only practice students’ counseling skills, but also build a platform for counselors to help each other and connect with each other, so that after completing their studies, they will not only have proficient clinical skills, but also a supportive group to accompany them.
