CIU Dual Enrollment Advantages

Save time and accelerate academic progress — Take college courses and earn credits in high school, reducing future college study time and helping you graduate earlier or enter graduate school early.

Significantly reduce economic costs — Dual enrollment fees are more economical (currently only $100 per credit at CIU), and overall tuition is much lower than regular college courses, significantly saving education expenses. At the same time, you can earn both high school and college credits, avoiding repeated learning and achieving high cost performance in education investment.

Dual credit recognition, more advantageous for further education — The courses have a “dual function” characteristic: in accredited schools, they can be counted towards high school transcripts and are also recognized by partner universities, similar to AP courses. Accumulate credit foundation in advance to enhance academic competitiveness.

Experience the academic atmosphere of university in advance — Taught by university professors, students can experience the teaching style and academic requirements of university classrooms in advance, preparing them for the transition to higher education.

Cultivate academic initiative and comprehensive abilities — Choosing and completing challenging university courses demonstrates students’ academic motivation and self-drive, leaving a positive impression on teachers, university admissions officers, and future employers.

Balance exploration and challenge — The course content has the academic depth and challenge of university level, and begins to cultivate high-level thinking and independent learning ability in the high school stage.
