Kepha Institute Online Master's Program

MA in Cybersecurity

Program Features

The Kepha Institute Online Master of Arts in Cybersecurity (MACS) program inherits CIU’s century-old tradition of education, focusing on the integration of professional skills and a foundation of truth. Adhering to a unique holistic education philosophy, it aims to cultivate cybersecurity talents with “truth-based values” + “both soft and hard skills.”

The curriculum is designed around two core guiding principles: first, staying at the cutting edge of technology; and second, emphasizing systematic training. The course content remains consistently aligned with the real-world industrial landscape, while placing strong emphasis on cultivating fundamental competencies and fostering systematic thinking. We prioritize practical efficacy and application, striving to empower students to translate their learning into real-world practice and to master exceptional professional skills for solving problems in authentic scenarios.

The teaching method combines pre-recorded video courses with real-time interactive courses, with interactive teaching in both Chinese and English to help students adapt to and master cybersecurity operations in an English environment. For zero-based students without an IT background, special bridge courses are set up to assist in the transition of cross-major capabilities.

The program has excellent faculty, all with doctoral degrees and based on the forefront of industry technology development, adhering to the values of truth, and willing to lead students to make progress and growth in professional ability and life character!

Real-time online face-to-face courses to establish effective interaction between professors and students

Recorded video courses explain basic concepts, theories, methods, and models

Rich reading materials allow students to access cutting-edge cases, new theories, and new technologies.

The content and form of assignments are rich and diverse, helping students effectively combine theory and practice

Provide online groups for students and teachers, where you can communicate with students and teachers at any time

Accessibility-Focused Introduction: Bilingual Interactive Instruction (Pre-recorded lectures are delivered in English with Chinese subtitles, while weekly Q&A sessions are conducted in Chinese). This approach helps students adapt to and master cybersecurity operations within an English-speaking environment. For students with zero prior knowledge and a non-IT background, specialized “bridge courses” are provided to facilitate a smooth transition of skills across disciplines.

Testimonials from Teachers and Students

Dr. Chen Jie-en

Director of Cybersecurity Program

The world of cybersecurity is vast. Within the corporate sector, you can work as a security engineer, product consultant, or risk management officer; alternatively, you can pivot toward fields such as education, non-profit organizations, or the advancement of public safety. With conviction, you can even combine your technical expertise with your personal calling to serve society and contribute to public-interest digital security.

The Kepha Cybersecurity Program aspires to serve as a bridge to your dreams; through a comprehensive curriculum, dedicated mentorship, an ethical perspective, and real-world project experience, we will empower you to forge your own unique career path.

May you always remain true to your original aspirations, and continue to explore, practice, and grow.

May you become a light, illuminating the dim corners of the digital world;

May you become the salt that awakens goodness and righteousness amidst technology and the humanities.

Damon Wang

Kepha Institute Master of Cybersecurity, Spring 2024 Student

In recent years, the economic situation has been poor, industry demand has shrunk, and job supply has been tight. In the face of difficulties, “one specialization with multiple skills” has become the key. The depth of emerging technologies and the breadth of traditional technologies are indispensable. I believe that opportunities favor those who are prepared, humble, diligent and lifelong learners.

The Kepha Cybersecurity Master’s program focuses on cultivating students’ professional knowledge and holistic literacy, not only improving professional depth, but also shaping students from confidence, character, critical thinking and other aspects, so that they have the comprehensive ability to cope with an uncertain era.

The professors are known for their solid theory and superb practical skills, especially in practical fields such as offensive and defensive combat, and are by no means just talking on paper. As an institution that combines truth and professional depth, professors are committed to helping students achieve professional improvement and life transformation, re-anchor the direction of life in an extremely uncertain era, and explore the meaning of career and life in professional services.
